Cyber Monday?

Pixel Dreams - Cyber Monday No, it’s not the first day of the week on The Transformer’s planet, Cybertron. Cyber Monday is a recent Internet phenomenon that occurs on the Monday that follows “Black Friday”, the American version of Boxing Day that happens the day after Thanksgiving.

Call it a sale-a-bration of Internet shopping culture. It’s believed that it was brought on as a marketing scheme for predominantly internet-based stores, or e-versions of the big box mainstays, that felt that they were missing out on a piece of the holiday shares. Faster, Accurate, Sans Erreurs!  Google Analytics goes asynchronous!

Google Analytics For everyone who wants to fine tune their Google analytics, the heavy “ga.js” tracking code is a thing of the past, thanks to the new asynchronous tracking code. It really optimizes the visitor tracking by loading the tracking code faster resulting a much better user experience.

Unlike the standard tracking code, the new code inserts into the page header ( <head></head>) rather than being the last element in the body tag, making code execution so much easier. It also saves a lot of pain as tracking becomes literally impossible when pages are stuffed with heavy scripts. Now with the new tracking code it’s a guarantee that your tracking will be accurate, yet a possible error with any other code snippet in the page can still occur. Be sure to use the new script above any other scripts in the header section of the page.

Banner Blog was started in the peak of Web 2.0 to showcase interactive work that was going unnoticed or just simply shunned/dismissed as obnoxious spam. The site is set up so that you can search either by agency, product, or even brand. Would you like a Pixel Dreams designed banner up on the Banner Blog?

Pixel Dreams, An Inside Look

Pixel Dreams - The Ship We love working at Pixel Dreams so much that we could easily spend over 80% of our time together; our spouses and kids often wonder why we love our jobs more. Ok, just kidding, my wife and kids are my iMac, iPhone, and Wii controller, and they have not complained yet! But seriously, we are passionate people, driven by the love of the job. Some of us see ourselves as crewmembers of another proud Starship, the Enterprise NCC1701 D.
