It is no secret that we here at Pixel Dreams HQ love to watch Star Trek. From time to time, we debate the political motives of the Romulan Empire and if Klingons could ever be suitable babysitters. We take extra joy and comfort when seeing the realization of Star Trek ideas and visions. I can’t help but smile in glee when Google Chrome asks me if I’d like the page I’m to be translated in one of many languages. Who needs the Klingon Language Institute?! http://www.kli.org/
Declared a world wide web over 10 years ago accessing the net in different languages has always been a challenge. Nigh impossible. As developers continue to work on cracking the Babel Fish accessing the net in different languages will soon become common place. Currently 54,000 people have installed Translation Bar. With 4,000 weekly installs. The average rating is very high, with most people reporting the extension working, gloriously (That’s for the TNG fans).
