80’s Pop Culture. So Rad. So Colourful.

Remember Michael’s red leather jacket? Or how about Lionel Richie’s “Hello”? Better yet – Arsenio Hall! Most people who’ve experienced this era in living colour, have a great appreciation for North American pop-culture inside jokes on shows like Robot Chicken and Family Guy.
Problem:
Lannie Le, whom only migrated to Canada half a decade ago, constantly misses out on the joys of 80s + 90s pop culture references. How sad – especially now that the 80’s and 90’s are going through a renaissance!
Solution:
In the past 365 days, Khalid-Dreams, Susan-Ninja, and a few other friends and family have been totally re-living the 80s-90s in hopes of catching up our Baby-Pixel Creative Director’s pop-culture vocab. We’ve watched everything from The Never Ending Story to RoboCop 1 and 2.
Here’s a few on our list we’ve introduced her to, McFly!
Pretty in Pink, RoboCop 1 + 2, Never Ending Story, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off, Breakfast Club, Batman 1 + 2 (with Michael Keaton), Back To The Future 1 + 2, Star Trek TNG + Star Trek movies, The God Father series, Star Wars, The Muppet Babies, Careless Whispers + Father Figure by George Michael, Ghetto Blasters + Boom-Boxes.
Check out the Boom-Box we bought for our office!
