Mickey's finished basement is proof that building your own basement can be a project for anyone; even newbies.
With the exception of hiring a drywall professional, Mickey single-handedly built his basement from the scratch. Before this project, power drill, mouse and keyboard were the only power-tools he had ever touched. Now he can add nail gun, miter saw, circular saw, planer and a few more to the list.
With the help of YouTube, Google and 'Holmes on Homes', he finally finished the basement in 9 months investing the odd weekend and evening. Aside from the pleasures of learning the trade and securing his position at home as the handy man - he also saved some money to furnish his new basement with a pimp'd out 50" plasma TV!
Mickey's next project? His kitchen.
